Salon Privé is a curated multi-brand marketplace. Products are supplied by the independent brands listed on our site. We are the seller you contract with and the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details, and anything you write in an enquiry, quote request or contact form.
- Account information: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Payment information: card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and cookie identifiers, collected automatically when you use the site.
How we use your information
- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders, and to provide quotes for made-to-order and freight items.
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer service.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To send you marketing emails, only where you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To measure and improve the site and our advertising.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract (orders and quotes), legitimate interests (security, customer service, improving the site), consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run the shop:
- The brands that supply your order, so they can prepare and dispatch it (typically your name, delivery address and order details).
- Payment processing: Stripe.
- Shipping: carriers and shipping platforms such as DHL Express and Shippo, which receive your delivery details.
- Hosting and delivery: our web host and content delivery network.
- Advertising: Google (Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), only if you accept marketing cookies. Their tags record pages you view and purchases you make so we can measure and personalise our ads. Meta may also receive this information directly from our server (the Meta Conversions API), and both may receive your email address or phone number in hashed (scrambled) form to match a purchase to an ad. Without your consent, none of this is sent.
- Email marketing: Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which holds our customer and order records to send the emails you have subscribed to and to measure them. We only send you marketing emails if you have subscribed.
- Authorities and advisers, where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. Essential cookies always run, because the shop cannot work without them. Everything else waits for your choice. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Mailchimp’s site script, which loads only with your consent, may also set its own cookies for sign-up forms.
Analytics: we don’t use analytics cookies at present. If we add them, they will only run with your consent and will be listed here.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the bag and checkout won’t work.
International transfers
We operate internationally and our service providers are located in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. Where your information is transferred outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to seven years). Enquiry and account information is kept while it is needed for the purpose it was collected, then deleted or anonymised. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.
