Lorenzo Belenguer is an artist and curator based in London and Valencia. Belenguer is strongly influenced by Minimalism and Arte Povera in his obsession to investigate the beauty of materiality, spaces for pause and spirituality, and popular images like traditional European paintings that reinforces canons of beauty and power from a European/NorthAmerican perspective. The globalisation of the economy, and its redistribution of power, questions the hierarchy of values that have dominated the narrative in the last two centuries.
