Sustainable Wardrobe Essentials

Out of Sync is a womenswear label run by Jackie and her daughters, Kate and Meg, from their studio in Cardiff. The name means standing out from the crowd, and the label designs seasonless wardrobe pieces, made with layering in mind to move from day to night and from summer to winter.

Collections use natural fabrics and are manufactured in the UK, through a local supply chain with makers paid a fair living wage. The debut collection was made from rescued fabric diverted from landfill. The second, Interrupted, used Tencel and Bamboo Silk for many of its designs, and the most recent, Talking Threads, is made from 100% sustainable fabric.

Smaller remnants are made into scrunchies and further offcuts are given to art schools. Orders are hand-wrapped in biodegradable, recyclable tissue and recycled brown paper.
